Now AI can create a podcast from your technical article – in 3 minutes!

Something a bit different on the Marker Blog this week; another example for those who enjoy shaking your heads regularly at the power of AI.

At Marker AI, we purpose artificial intelligence tools such as Natural Language Processing (NLP) towards solving financial crime challenges like client onboarding and enhanced due diligence. But we’re also fascinated to track the power of this amazing technology as it enters ever more areas of our professional and personal lives.

So, if you’ve not tried it yet, you can now generate a  podcast version of a professional or technical article which you’ve written. All you do is upload the article, press a button and out it pops about three minutes later!

We tried it out (see below) on an article one of our colleagues, Tim Parkman, had written recently for this Blog, dealing with the difference between shell companies and front companies, and the results were startling. In particular, it didn’t just summarise what he’d written; it was able to work around and through the content to come up with its own analogies – what we might even characterize as ‘insights’. It’s not perfect – in Tim’s case it gets the wrong end of the stick here and there and it also approaches it from the perspective of a retail investor rather than a person with compliance responsibilities. But the speed with which it was able to reduce quite complex themes into chatty, podcast-bro banter was extraordinary.

If you want to give it a go, all you have to do is visit Google Notebook LM, click “Create new”. then upload your article. On the right hand side, you’ll see an option in Audio Overview called “Deep Dive conversation.” Click ‘Generate’ and then after a few minutes your Joe Rogan challenge will be ready…
